Land of the Lost "Give-A-Show" Projector Strips I found this little novelty while searching for LOTL items at the San Diego Comic-Con several years ago. These strips came inside the box for the Give-A Show projector, a cheapo children's toy from the 70s that uses a flashlight battery to project premade filmstrips onto the wall. The box in which it came loudly proclaims "Featuring Land of the Lost" with a little cartoon of the Marshalls observing the hatching of a giant egg--the creature emerging from the egg looks more like a baby Godzilla than a dinosaur--a scene which never occurs in the filmstrip story (if it can be called a story--guess I'm feeling generous). As you will see, the filmstrip art is laughable--looks like the little comic strips found in Bazooka bubble gum--and the story is friggin' lame... the manner in which they resolve the "problem" is a joke in itself. In my study of the filmstrip, "A Questionable Day", I concluded it was just a dream by one of the Marshalls having dozed off after eating a bad bronto burger. Still, if you need a good laugh, here it is: Filmstrips (The other filmstrips included in the package were: Fat Albert, Hong Kong Phooey, Far Out Space-Nuts, Bugs Bunny, Josie and the Pussycats, Scooby Doo, Space: 1999, Harlem Globetrotters, Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm, Great Grape Ape, Shazam, and Speed Buggy.)
